Philip Edwards has always had a passion for building. After graduating from North Carolina State University in 1989 with a degree in Civil Engineering and a concentration in construction management, he worked for several years in construction design and job site management. In 1994, he earned his Master of Business Administration at Campbell University. Not long after that, Philip built his first house. “When my wife and I built our first home together, it was such an exciting and rewarding experience, I knew I wanted to make a career of building homes for others.” As a result, Edwards Contracting Group, Inc. was established in 1996. Since then, Philip and his team have built hundreds of homes in Wake and Johnston counties ranging in size from 1,200 to 6,000 square feet and he says, “I still enjoy building new homes as much or more than when I first started.”

Philip is a member of the Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County, the Johnston County Home Builders Association and frequently attends seminars and trade shows to keep abreast of the latest trends in the industry.
