Apex Chamber Holds Official Groundbreaking Ceremony for
The Regents at Old Mill Village
Luxury Townhomes the First Project at The Villages of Apex
(Apex NC, December 12, 2007)—The Apex Chamber of Commerce held an official groundbreaking ceremony on December 11 for The Regents at Old Mill Village in Apex, a unique townhome neighborhood currently under construction in the new community, The Villages of Apex. Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were staff, Board members and Ambassadors from the Apex Chamber of Commerce, Bruce Radford, Town Manager for the Town of Apex, Mark Gramling of Apex First Development, David Wagner, President of North Hills Homes, George King, President of The King Partnership, the agency retained by the developer to market the community, and the Coldwell Banker Advantage Broker Sales Team of Calvin Ramsey and Wanda Burns-Ramsey.
The Regents at Old Mill Village is being built by Raleigh’s award-winning custom home builder North Hills Homes. “North Hills Homes is pleased to be involved in this exciting project,” said Wagner. “We’ve designed an elegant three-story townhome with six stunning floor plans and more than 1,000 different options for buyers to choose from. Each resident will enjoy a truly unique, custom-built townhome with all the bells and whistles.”
The Regents offers three-story floor plans with optional private elevators. These two, three and four bedroom homes range in size from 1996 to 2175 square feet with prices starting in the mid $290s. Homes include a two-SUV garage, brick accented exteriors, ColorPlus Hardiplank siding, a 1st floor bedroom or office with full bath, granite countertops, gas fireplaces and optional double master suites. Plans are underway for a private pool for residents of The Regents of Old Mill Village.
A mixed-use community, The Villages of Apex will include a total of 1,300 condominiums, townhomes and single-family homes. Amenities are extensive and include a 13 acre park, greenways with miles of paved walking trails, a two acre dog park, two large lakes, a state-of-the-art Village Center for residents, a private elementary school as well as 220,000 square feet for retail shops and restaurants. The Villages of Apex is being designed with a look and feel that will complement the quaint, small town atmosphere that has been carefully crafted in the Apex Historic District and will serve as an extension of the existing downtown center.
“Our goal is that The Villages of Apex serves as a showpiece that demonstrates the right way to design a community,” said Gramling of Apex First Development. “The Villages of Apex will connect to and extend the current downtown historic district. Residents and visitors will be able to enjoy the small town atmosphere, get to know their neighbors, take a leisurely stroll, stop for a friendly chat on the plaza and walk to just about everything. Driving will truly be optional.”
